OUR BUSINESS IS SOLVING YOUR PROBLEMS

Baker Auction and Estate Sale Services specializes in selling antiques, collectibles, and estate property. We are dedicated to providing outstanding professional services to our clients.

We are Sold on the Auction Method

We are convinced that a public Auction is the best method to sell estate property, and that it nets far more money for the client. An Auction achieves the fair market value for each item because the price of each item gradually increases between competitive bidders until the highest bid is offered. No one can predict how much a person is willing to pay for an item. A pre-set selling price may be higher than a buyer is willing to pay. (This will result in a "no sale" situation)

On the other hand, a pre-set selling price may be lower than a person is willing to pay. (This will result in selling an item for less than its fair market value.) No amount of experience can allow any individual to accurately pre-set the price of every item for a priced estate sale. But, an experienced Auctioneer can do it for every item, every time, at an Auction.

We Work to Meet the Needs of our Clients

We offer a wide variety of services that we tailor to meet the needs of each individual client. We apply our knowledge and experience to skillfully solve the needs of each client. Conducting over 1000 Auctions and Estate Sales in the Denver metropolitan area has given us an excellent experience base that allows us to know what needs to be done and how to do it.

We begin by listening to our clients as they share their goals and tell us about what they want to accomplish. We carefully consider what they tell us, what they want to sell, and the market and potential buyers for their merchandise. Then, we offer recommendations that will most effectively accomplish our client's goals.

We have seen what happens when an individual, friend, or family member tries to "save money" by conducting a sale themselves. Too often, the valuable items are sold at "give away prices" and the less desirable items are priced too high. This results in a home that is depleted of its valuable resources and left with the more common, everyday merchandise that must be donated or given away. We have also seen what happens when an individual, friend, or family member tries to "save money" by taking items to an antique dealer and attempting to negotiate the best price (Antique dealers love buying antiques, collectibles, and estate property from novices/individuals who have no idea of value!) Either of these scenarios result is far less money than Baker Auction and Estate Sale Services can earn for you!

A successful, professionally conducted Auction does not "just happen." It requires trained, experienced, honest, knowledgeable, and hard working personnel who place attention and emphasis on all the details. We use our management experience, business experience, people skills, and knowledge of the market to handle all the intricacies of a successful auction. We organize, clean, make minor repairs, lot, tag, display items, promote, advertise, manage and conduct the Auction in order to obtain top dollar for you. We provide all personnel and equipment necessary to conduct your sale. And, we even clean-up after the auction is over.

We have extensive experience selling estates, antiques, collectibles, and estate property. Our dedication, commitment, attention to detail, and established contacts with proven buyers all work for you.

We can turn your property into immediate cash. Call Baker Auction and Estate Sale Services when it is time to sell.

Changing the Denver Marketplace

The Denver marketplace has traditionally used priced Estate Sales as the "only" method of selling estate property on-site. Several years ago Baker Auction and Estate Sale Services introduced on-site Auctions as a new way to sell estate property in Denver.

Our success with Auctions has demonstrated the many advantages of selling estate property at an on-site Auction. Our proven track record gives our clients confidence in our ability to sell their property for "top dollar" at an on-site Auction.

We offer a wide variety of services.

  • Appraise estate property, antiques, collectibles, and personal property.
  • Assist owners in making decisions about what to keep and what to sell.
  • Assist owners in determining the fair and equitable distribution of items.
  • Move items to temporary storage in our warehouse facility.

Our Auction Facility
Our Auction Facility gives us the ability to: sell estate property when it cannot be sold on-site, sell estates that are too small to justify an on-site sale, accept consignment items, and store property.

Our Auction Facility is a NON-SMOKING facility!

"On-Site" Auctions
We believe that it is best to hold an Auction "on-site" if the situation is right. However, there are situations where it is best to hold the Auction "off-site" at our Auction Facility. Factors that are considered when making a determination of where to hold an auction include: the size of the estate, the condition of the home, availability of parking, the wishes of the client, and covenants/ restrictions.
